Shawn unloaded for the first time in two months to compete in the Larry Phillips Memorial Saturday at Springfield Raceway. He finished 4th in his heat race. This put him to a B Feature, which he won. In the main even,t Shawn ran 12th. "I had a good night," said Shawn after the race. "It's always been a hard track for me to get ahold of and I haven't raced here in two years. The car was good, I just lacked any forward drive to advance. I was just glad to get a night in and make it out in one piece"
