Shawn was back at it over the weekend. He raced in a pair of shows at both LA Raceway and Lucas Oil Speedway. Thursday at LA Raceway it was a USMTS sanctioned show paying $2,000 to win. Shawn was able to get in more laps while continuing to get comfortable with a new setup in his race car. The track was tough to pass on and unfortunately he didn't make the A Feature. However, he turned in another solid run Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway. Shawn took the checkers in the heat and ran 6th in the feature. He set the fast lap time for the night and was running 2nd for a portion of the feature, before he nearly flipped. Luckily Shawn was able to hold onto it. The leaders hit lapped traffic with five to go and Shawn got hit by another car. He likely had a first or second place car, but just had a rash of bad luck in the Main. He'll be back at it again next weekend. Early standings show Shawn in 4th place in the championship hunt.
